You say we can always be just friends
But I know what that always means
You're gonna break my heart in two

You say you can't stay with me
But I know what that always means
Honey when did you lose our dream

You say it's not me it's you
But I know what that always means
You lost the faith and hope in our love

You say that I’ll be okay
Eventually I’ll find someone new
But I know what that always means
Obviously you already found someone new

You want come back to be with me
 After you did me wrong
