The Pumpkin Farm

The Pumpkin Farm (part 1)
Emma couldn't wait for the trip to the pumpkin farm, if it was as fun as last year she was guaranteed to have a haunting time. She remembered the hay ride and the corn maze. She remembers the eerie haunted barn and the rather odd farmer all dressed for Halloween. She had all her pumpkin carving tools out and ready for when they got back. This year she has new ideas to try out that she saw on the internet. Her daddy came home and they all left for the pumpkin farm, her dad trying to scare her mom along the way. She smiled when her mom keep telling him to stop it and she would catch his wink in the rear view mirror. This time of year was so pretty she thought. All the leaves had been changing color and the nights seemed bright but brisk. On the way to the farm she saw all the houses decorated for Halloween, she couldn't wait for "trick or treating". They reached the farm and to her surprise there was hardly anyone there. She found it odd because last year they couldn't find any parking and her dad parked weird on the side of the road. She got out of the car and ran over to the barn right away. It seemed stagnant like there was no life to what she remembered. She ran over to the corn maze, the stalks were old and ruined. She ran back over to the place where they sold the pumpkins and the ones there were weird or oddly shaped. Nothing seemed right, what was going on? This was the most famous pumpkin farm for miles, they always had the best. Even the stores in town got their pumpkins from here. She looked for her parents but they were not in sight where she could see them. She ran back to the car but they weren't there either. She called out to them "Mom...Dad!" there was no response. She became uneasy and the chill of the night landed on the back of her neck. Something was wrong, really, really wrong. She was so excited to see the attractions she had been waiting for so long that she didn't care to watch her parents. Where could they be? Maybe the barn she thought and proceeded towards the entrance. Then she saw the Farmer, this time his outfit was different. It was bloody looking and dirty, so unlike last year. She knew something just wasn't right and she started to get really worried now. How come no one else is showing up to the pumpkin farm? Where are her parents? Is this the Pumpkin Farmer?

The Pumpkin Farm (part 2)
The tall eerie form looked down upon Emma and then pointed to the barn, Emma's heart was racing and it felt like it was going to jump from her chest. She looked into the barn, squinting her eyes, to see into the darkness. The farmer motioned for her to step forward again so she went to the doorway. A crow flew from the entrance and scarred her but she kept going. Now she could hear the muffled voice of someone in the darkness of the barn. The day was so grey that no light pierced the depths of the shadows. She stepped into the barn and a large cat on the inside screamed as if it was being killed over and over again. Its sound was deafening and she jumped to the other side of the entrance to get away from it. When she did this the Pumpkin Farmer appeared in the doorway. He pointed to the back of the barn where it was the darkest. Emma was shaking and her knees felt like knocking together. She could barely move but she walked slowly into the blackened abyss. The muffled sound was getting clearer now and it almost sounded familiar. Two more steps and a bunch of bats flew into her straight on “get off me...get off me “she cried out loud. The Pumpkin Farmer make a blood curdling scream “move on child ". Emma was startled and screamed her lungs out in return. The Pumpkin farmer pointed to the blackened abyss again. Emma started towards the muffled sound again all the time thinking she knew the voice. She was now in the middle of the barn and only the gloom of the grey day allowed her to see the walls. There were bails of old and new hay laid out with no order like they had been thrown about. she looked down at the floor from where she came and saw red fluid trails criss crossing the floor all the way back to the Pumpkin Farmers feet. "Was that blood?" she thought. Just then the muffled sound turned into a scream for help “help me Emma...help me". And it hit Emma like a brick, it was her mother. She tried to locate her in the darkness and caught a glimpse of a rather large animal on top of the bales of hay. Its red eyes glowing like a volcano's fire, she could swallow the evil from it right where she stood. She didn’t move hoping it didn't see her. Too late it moved down the bales of hay towards her and her mother cried out “no you don't you demon from hell". She tried to kick it to get it to turn on her hoping to save Emma from her fate. "Run Emma...run thru the back door! Hurry honey hurry" and her mom screamed a deathly scream jumping onto the monster. All Emma could do was race past them to back door and when she reached it she yelled “no mommy! Come with me...I love you!” all the reply Emma got though was more screaming and then the muffled sounds she heard earlier. "NOOOOOOOOOO!....NOOOOOOOO!... MOMMY...MOMMY!” Emma started bawling and she couldn’t see anything from the tears falling from her eyes. She wiped them from her face just to see the creature tearing her mother apart. The Pumpkin Farmer moved past the bloody battle and walked up to her. It pointed to the door again at the back of the barn and his eyes seemed to burn right thru her. She turned and walked to the door, her heart heavy witnessing the death of her mother. At this point it was all she could fathom, she wasn’t even thinking of her dad. The scene of the blood all over the hay and the creature’s eyes over whelmed her. then she snapped out of it "are their more of them?" she thought and she looked around to see on the other bales of hay more of those sinister evil eyes looking her way seeming to abide by the Pumpkin Farmers will. She looked to the door and tried to pierce its darkness perhaps this is where her father is. He surely is strong and agile enough to fight these demons. All she could see is a small flashlight lying on the cement floor in the opposite corner. She stepped thru the door and the beasts in the hay all let out a horrifying call as if they were announcing her entrance. she had no choice now she had to go in. she tried to sense if something was right inside the door way ready to pounce on her, but nothing moved or made a noise. The evil creatures in the hay barn started to move towards her, pressing her. Emma went into the room backwards so as to watch them in case they were to try and rush her. Just then the Pumpkin Farmer made another blood curdling scream out and pointed to the back of the cement floored room. The other creatures pounced on the remains of her mother. Emma let out a scream and edged into the room still shaking, her body didn't want to move anymore

Religious Righter

There’s something about you
That brings out the best in me
Religious Righter
Always quoting from the writings you cannot see
Religious Righter
Look into your heart what do you believe
Always stealing souls and gathering sheep
Religious Righter
Listen to me... Do we really need?
Any religion to tell us what to do or what to believe
When you know in your heart and soul
How to treat the people you want to know
Religious Righter
Too hard core to let it go
Religious Righter
Don’t you want to believe in your fellow man?
The best in all of us is never lost
It’s always there
Whether or not you chose to see
Religious Righter
There’s something about you
That brings out the best in me
Religious Righter
Always quoting from the writings you cannot see
Religious Righter
Tell me what you know
Tell me everything from the past
Everything they told you to seal your soul
For an eternity promising you an after life
Religious Righter
Now where will you go?
Religious Righter
Who will you try to teach?
Will they listen to you preach
About how they will lose their souls
When it’s really you that needs saving
From what you think you know
Religious Righter
Everything they told you to seal your soul
For an eternity promising you an after life
Religious Righter
There’s something about you
That brings out the best in me
Religious Righter
Always quoting from the writings you cannot see
It’s up to you don’t let them take you for a fool
Religious Righter
When will you finally break free?

Learn To Let Them In

Winter is like the rain
Falling down all around you
Its warmth…as cold the sun

Frozen hearts won’t ever leave
Longing for the love…too blind to see
Look at what they have become

You gotta live for another day
You gotta learn to find your own way
You gotta love someone again
You gotta learn to let them in
So a new love can begin my friend

You're completely drowned inside
Twisted and turned…you’re upside down
Just how are we going to get you
Turned back around

You gotta live for another day
You gotta learn to find your own way
You gotta love someone again
You gotta learn to let them in
So a new love can begin my friend

Chasing all these dreams
What do they really mean?

Holding out your wanting hand

Lost in this crazy never land
Unable to fully comprehend

What is it that you want to see?
What do you want from me?
If you can’t see the writing in the sand

Just how are we going to get you
Turned back around

You gotta live for another day
You gotta learn to find your own way
You gotta love someone again
You gotta learn to let them in
So a new love can begin my friend

You gotta live for another day
You gotta learn to find your own way
You gotta love someone again
You gotta learn to let them in
So a new love can begin my friend

You gotta live for another day
You gotta learn to find your own way
You gotta love someone again
You gotta learn to let them in
So a new love can begin my friend

Can’t Get You Out Of My Mind

I tried to sleep but I stayed up all night
Tossed and turned held my pillow so tight
Kept thinking of you so that makes it alright

I can’t get you out of my mind

They say that love will make you go blind
To all the heartache that hurt you before

Desperate people search all of their lives
They don’t even know what they’re looking for

I can’t get you out of my mind

They hope and pray it will finally find them
Wait around watching the hands of time
Spin around
They're Searching...and searching...and searching

Too many years have passed us my friend
All of these years wondering what could have been

I can’t get you out of mind

We hold on to our memories as best as we can
But we have no control of Gods master plan

This feeling… I’m feeling… for you
Has gotta be more than a feeling …it’s true

Oh I can’t get you out of my mind

Honey just what am I gonna do
About you

I can’t seem to get my mind over you

But I know it’s not what I wanna do
I think about you all of the time

They're Searching...and searching...and searching

Oh I can’t get you out of my mind
I know it’s not what I wanna do

This feeling… I’m feeling… for you
Has gotta be more than a feeling …it’s true

I tried to sleep but I stayed up all night
I Tossed and turned held my pillow...oh so tight
I kept thinking of you … so that makes it alright

Oh…I…Can’t…get… you…out…of…my…mind

There's A Post It On The Fridge

There's a post it on the fridge
Telling me what to do today

It’s been a long, long time
Since I’ve seen your face

To work and home again
Having a social life is tough

I'm just wondering if we
Even live in the same place

Well I know it’s no fun
When I’m working all night
Sleeping until the mid day sun

Honey I barely even know
When you are around

But you see

Somebody's gotta pay all
These bills you keep racking up

There's a post it on the fridge
Telling me what to do today

You know it doesn't really help
When all you do is complain and yell

You're out all night
Partying it up
Having fun out on the town

Honey I barely even know
When you are around

I'm just wondering if we
Even live in the same place

If was up to me
We would spend every day
Laughing and playing in the sun

But you see

Somebody's gotta pay all
These bills you keep racking up

There's a post it on the fridge
Telling me what to do again today

Honey I barely even know
When you are around

It’s been a long, long time
Since I’ve seen your face

To work and home again
Having a social life is tough

I'm just wondering if we
Even live in the same place

But you see

Somebody's gotta pay all
These bills you keep racking up

There's a post it on the fridge today
Telling me what to do

There's a post it on the fridge today
Telling me what to do

Took My Money in A Promise Scam

For a long, long time
I’ve lived my life
Looking for a better one

Been pushed and shoved
Left out in the cold
Baking in the hot sun

There ain't no one
Who even cares
How I got here
Or what I’ve done

Listening to the sounds at night
They're so different in the park
Trying to find a secret place
To sleep alone in the dark

I wake up in the freeze
Nothing to keep away the breeze
My wife and kids I do miss
How did my life come to this?

Caught up in this Promised Land
Who's gonna look out for me
Every day that keeps slipping by
Is one more day closer to death you see

But this wasn't the master plan
All of my life while growing up
They took my money in a promise scam
To one day give it all back to me

When I grow old
I'll have a place that's warm

A place that I can call my own
A place for you and me
The kids and our dog
What’s his name

The dream...the dream
Oh the master plan

How did my life come to this?
Caught up in this Promised Land

There ain't no one
Who even cares
How I got here
Or what I’ve done

Oh been pushed and shoved

Left out in the cold
Baking in the hot sun

When I grow old
I'll have a place that's warm

A place for you and me
A place that I can call my own

Who's gonna look out for me
Every day that keeps slipping by
Is one more day closer to death you see

For a long, long time
Ya I’ve lived my life
Looking for a better one

Caught up in this Promised Land
They took my money in a promise scam
To one day give it all back to me

And here I am
Caught up in this Promised Land

How did my life...come to this?
How did my life...come...to this
How did my life...come...to...this
