Time To Go Home

He's a small town boy just having fun
He's too young to be looking for love
Not a care while he's playing in the sun

He's not worried what's down his road

But as he grows older he realizes
This town...is like poison to him

So off he goes on life's harsh road
He’s not looking back...no he's not

It's gotta be better than where he was
He's not gonna worry what's down his road

She's a small town girl just having fun
She's too young to be looking for love
Slumber parties and tea cup lunches is her world

She's not worried what's down her road

But as she grows older she realizes
This town...is like poison to her

So off she goes on life's harsh road
He’s not looking back...no she's not

It's gotta be better than where she was
She's not gonna worry what's down her road

Then one day they meet by chance
And off they go on a summer romance
Life's real reason will soon to be told
Baby on the way and the love grows cold

So here they are on life's harsh road
Not knowing what to do

They're love is on the rocks
It's not much fun...no it's not

Now they're worried what's down their road
A growing family and the big city is getting bold

He's a small town boy just having fun
He's too young to be looking for love

She's a small town girl just having fun
She's too young to be looking for love

But now as they grow older they realize
That old town isn't like poison to them anymore
No...No...No it's not

That old small town was lots of fun
He played all day in the summer sun
Slumber parties and her tea cup lunches
This was their world when they were young

Oh ya...ya...ya...yes it was
Maybe it's time...to go home
Maybe it's time...to go home
