Hit and Run

Move it along, move it along
there's nothing to see here
it's just another hit and run

Hit and run, hit and run
just another...hit and run
hit and run, hit and run

It's just another hit and run
there's nothing to see here

We build and we build our lives
making our dreams for the future
just to get it wiped away in an instant

One day is filled with their laughter
the next it's drowned out with their silence
you just want to turn back the hands of time

Move it along, move it along
there's nothing to see here
it's just another hit and run

Hit and run, hit and run
just another...hit and run
hit and run, hit and run

It's just another hit and run
there's nothing to see here

Every night their faces haunt you
every day you just want to hide away
every one wants to be your friend
but there's nothing they can do

When something so precious is lost
there's not enough that can pay to get it back
once it's gone... it's gone forever

Move it along, move it along
there's nothing to see here
it's just another hit and run

Hit and run, hit and run
just another...hit and run
hit and run, hit and run

It's just another hit and run
there's nothing to see here

And the days slip away
the nights get more tolerable
and even though you don't want it to
their faces start to slowly fade away

Cold sweat and frustrations
hot flashes filled with hate
endless nights with no harmony
nightmared sleep filled with grief

Move it along, move it along
there's nothing to see here
it's just another hit and run

Hit and run, hit and run
just another...hit and run
hit and run, hit and run

It's just another hit and run
there's nothing to see here
