This Could Be...Our Last Goodbye

you know it's nothing that i can say
keeps falling on deaf ears
don't know if I'm even getting through

you have to hear it even if you don't want to
because this could be...our last goodbye

I'm heading out the door
the one you used to throw yourself into
when i said i had enough

you would cry and make such a fuss
couldn't dare take it, the end of us
you just didn't want to be alone
or you would of seen it way before

this isn't love, the way you conceive it
with you it was always a one way street
no way to avoid the out come
as long as you got to drive us

so you may have to hear it
even if you don't want to
because this could be

i don't want to be the one to fail
but I've tried and tried to solve what's between us
i can't break through that high a wall
even though i stayed when you asked me
i just wasn't prepared for this at all

too many years we keep repeating
month after month it's the same old thing
we can't ever seem to make progress
living in a room filled with lies
knowing some day we'll have to end it
