Run Away and Hide

She's been a stranger in this love
don't get to see her very much
when she's around won't look me in the eye
I don't even know why she tries

We both know it's all come undone
we lost the spark we lost the fun
you know when it's over because it hurts inside
just going thru the emotions of this roller coaster ride

Up all day and all through the night
worrying about the last words we said
one never knows when it begins
just how this new love will turn out or how it will end

So you sit around wondering if you'll ever find
someone to love someone to be your friend
listen to your worries and help you to understand
what this life's mysteries behold
and what you can hold ultimately in your hands

Mortality is never so apparent than when you're all alone
life's question are never so unclear than when no one is near
and you wonder what it is that you were put here on earth
what will you leave for the future something that's a part of you

There's nothing worse than thinking you been an outcast
from your own family, friends and children too
this feeling of loneliness that consumes every part of you
there's a gloom that follows every footstep that you make
hidden deep inside is the pain of every heart break
