She puts her shoes on
quietly
so not to wake him

She doesn't want him to hear
her leave
No she doesn't want him to know
she's gotta go

She doesn't want him to cry again
cuz she knows
she's about to sin

But this time she's not coming back

Tired of all this
she just wants to go
and be free

Free from his control
Free from the life it tolls
Free from the kids they share
Free from the life of
unwanted chores

She never wanted this
there's gotta be more to life
than just raising kids

she's with her best friend Jake
They have been together
since she can't remember when

This new life begins

She don't care

Back home two hungry kids
scream at their dad
You know they are lost
What did they do
to deserve this?

Where did mommy go?
When will she be back?
We love her so much.
