TWO
Two people on one world,
one a boy the other a girl.
Bound by destiny to share the fight,
making love throughout the night.
Two minds who share one thought,
a dream of love each had brought.
One scared of showing his fears,
one tired of shedding her tears.
Two lying close together,
touching and caressing one another.
Whispering soft words of forever,
caught up in loves' blind fever.
Two souls embracing what is holy,
absorbing emotions from each others' body.
Their auras glow with loves' bright light,
as their spirits draw towards the gentle moonlight.

She's Not Coming Back
She puts her shoes on
quietly
so not to wake him
She doesn't want him to hear
her leave
No she doesn't want him to know
she's gotta go
She doesn't want him to cry again
cuz she knows
she's about to sin
But this time she's not coming back
Tired of all this
she just wants to go
and be free
Free from his control
Free from the life it tolls
Free from the kids they share
Free from the life of
unwanted chores
She never wanted this
there's gotta be more to life
than just raising kids
Oh Lord,
please save me from this

Out on the road
she's with her best friend Jake
They have been together
since she can't remember when
This new life begins

Back home two hungry kids
scream at their dad
You know they are lost
What did they do
to deserve this?
Where did mommy go?
When will she be back?

God Said No Again Today
God said no again today.
It's just the little things,
that he does in his own way.
Always keeping me down,
with my head hung low.
Seems my punishment
will only last forever,
this I surely know.
I didn't mean to sin.
I don't even know what I did.
Just tried to be the best I could be.
Was it a crime to be a better man?
Keeping my head up high,
holding a moral high ground.
So I could be there for you,
for everyone to see.
But God said no again today.
It's just the little things,
that he does in his own way.
Some master plan indescribable.
Why can't he let me have little a peek?
So I know if I'm even on the right path,
but he just keeps me in the dark.
Wandering a life of loneliness,
always wondering what I miss.
What am I in this plane of existence
to earn this type of kindness?
Lost without a clue.
Oh my Lord.
What did I do to you?
How am I to live this life?
The one you gave me in your trust,
this isn't what I dreamed it to be.
All these chains wrapped around me,

There's a soft drifting rain,
falling slightly at a slant.
Soaks everything around and down.
Doesn't mean that I wont be

The rain is warm
and I'm feeling fine.
Feeling like this is just a dream

You say you love me,
but act in so many different ways.
I can see your heart is not in this,
at least not me anyway.
You promised this love
would last us forever.
Or was it was just another lie,
one to add to the all others?
My heart can't take this anymore.
I'm tired of being shut down
every time I find a new love.
Every time my soul's about to soar.
Don't you want to find someone to love?
Someone to hold you in the darkness
from the things that cause the cold.
Be there for you when the times get so rough.

No more wishing for sweet tenderness.
