Oh she's a diamond in the rough

Don't know where to start to make the cut

There's so many possibilities

So many things she can be

So young and full of fun

No cares in her little world

Her innocence is what life's all about

Makes you cry when it all comes undone

Love...love...what is love

What's it all mean when they want to leave

Give your heart

Give your soul

They'll take everything don't you know

There was a plan

There was a dream

There was a future that was untold

No broken hearts a house by a stream

A whole lot of hope and something to believe

Like two birds of the same feather

That flocks together

Like the sun and the rain

We complement one another

And it doesn't have to be paradise

As long as we have each other you see

This love a father has for his daughter

Is forever always there unconditionally

There's nothing that can tear it apart

Because it comes from the heart

Even when they're always gone

Even when the days and nights are long

She's so young and full of fun
