How many times did I tell you so?

But you just had to keep on going

Reaping the things you've been sewing

Living this life should be so simple

But you're the stone that cast the ripples

I say...wait for the calm...I say...wait for the calm

Well they say a man is supposed to stand bold

Never shed a tear…but he can’t help it…when he gets old

So you take it on the chin living your life…living a lie

Because over the years they teach you…it’s weak to cry

Desperate to escape the path you've chosen

Reaching out for those who've disowned you

But it's always been your heart that's frozen

Living this life should be so simple

Spent your days in the light still disbelieving

Wondering when your life will change the season
