Mmmmm Like Cream Cheese

you're the apple of my eye

cant get you outta my dreams

my windows are all open

waiting to catch your breeze

i'm choking cuz i cant swallow

you're shoving yourself down my throat

i'm thinking your goal is to invade

in any ol way

mmmm like cream cheese

you're gonna spread yourself on me

you take a bite then you spit me out

then what you do next

brings me to my knees

there's a full moon tonight

the light is calling you

you don't hesitate

take the knife and make me bleed

what's perfect is so narrow

so hard to pin point

it's like running through an alley

depending on the shadows

You Know the One

well i woke this morning
with that feeling
you know the one

where your gut keeps turning
and your mind wont stop screaming
shaking your head in disbelief

cuz deep down in  your soul
you know what's been going on
and you know you're not sure
if you can do it all over again

it's late in the morning
when you try to creep on in
baby you already know its the last straw

you've broken my heart in two
and now it's time for it to mend
so pack up all your things
it's time for this relationship to end

the solar winds start to blow
this old world spins out of control
mother nature starts her flow
and father time fell too short
trying to keep up with you girl

now rock n roll can sooth my soul
but nothing can give me back what you stole
there's just not enough time in this universe
to compensate the way you make me hate

and i got to find a way to find myself
bring myself to some plane inner peace
i know i can't let you bring me down
like you been doing for so long

cuz i know i've been the one
placing all my hope on a dream
all the while you're out on the town
telling me lies while you're with those men

i got no where else to place the blame
cuz i been a fool for lesser things
so was is it wrong to think about love
to dream of togetherness and the stars above

There's No More After Glow

Just point me in the direction

I can't take the way that we talk

basking in the after glow

There's no sense in all of this

no one makes the bed anymore

there's no early morning hello

no kiss to make the day seem long

so honey where did your smile go

Now the days turn in to nights

and our bed is freezing cold

the loom that hangs over me

encroaches just waiting to fall

laughing, saying i told you so

Then you come home

like a lost puppy dog

and i'm supposed to forget it all

you won't even tell me

why you ran away

I don't know why i take you back

i guess something inside

doesn't want to give it all up

thinking there's got to be more
